Our Commitment
North Fraser Wage Subsidy recognizes the privacy rights of individuals and is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information of its clients, employers, employees and other stakeholders.

In the course of providing employment services, events and activities, as well as managing operations, North Fraser Wage Subsidy in Action needs to collect, use and disclose personal information and will only do so in strict compliance with the prevailing legislation and the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for protecting the privacy of personal information.

Any individual who provides North Fraser Wage Subsidy with personal information should expect that it will be carefully protected and that its use and disclosure is subject to the individual’s consent.

Personal Information
Personal information is any information that can be used to identity, distinguish or contact a specific individual. This information may include but is not limited to:
Name, age, race, gender, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, country of origin, immigrant category, length of residence, language, education, home address, email address, telephone number, fax number, SIN Number, employment information, and financial information

Exceptions: business contact information including name, title, business telephone number, business address, business email address, and business fax number are not considered as personal information.

Consent
North Fraser Wage Subsidy will obtain consent from individuals whose personal information is collected, used or disclosed. Anyone may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.

Identifying Purpose
North Fraser Wage Subsidy will communicate clearly to individuals from whom personal information is collected the purpose(s) of collection, either orally or in writing, before or at the time of collection.

All attempts will be made to limit the amount and scope of personal information collected to what is reasonably considered necessary to fulfill the identified purposes.

Privacy Practices
Personal information collected is kept in confidence. Only authorized personnel will access the information based on their need to know the information for the purpose it was collected. North Fraser Wage Subsidy also takes physical, organizational and technological measures to ensure the security and integrity of personal information collected and to prevent it from theft, loss, destruction or duplication.
